The journey of RDGLDGRN began with a bang in 2011 when they dropped their debut single, “I Love Lamp,” a catchy power pop anthem, which took its name from a memorable line uttered by Steve Carell’s iconic character in “Anchor Man.” What followed was nothing short of meteoric, as the accompanying YouTube video quickly went viral, catapulting RDGLDGRN into the spotlight. One key factor in their rapid rise was their collaboration with some heavy hitters in the music industry. Notably, fate had an unexpected twist in store for the band while they were in the studio – none other than the legendary Dave Grohl, a fellow Virginia native and iconic drummer, offered his skills behind the kit. However, the star-studded lineup didn’t end there. The incomparable Pharrell Williams, a pop producer extraordinaire and a member of N.E.R.D, joined forces with RDGLDGRN, lending his genius to the creation of the track “Doing the Most.” This song became a standout on their 2013 debut LP, aptly named “RED GOLD GREEN LP” and released under the Universal Republic Records banner. Fast forward a decade, and RDGLDGRN is still going strong, having released three studio albums and a multitude of unforgettable tracks. In a bold move, the band has decided to re-release their debut project under their own label, Deuce Day World Recordings, complete with fresh music, reimagined versions of the earlier releases, and the inimitable drumming of Dave Grohl – a testament to their unwavering commitment to their craft and their fans. But the story doesn’t end there. RDGLDGRN is currently hard at work crafting their fourth studio album, “RED GOLD GREEN LP 4,” promising even more sonic innovation and genre-blurring musical wizardry. With their distinctive style, infectious tunes, and an ever-expanding fan base, RDGLDGRN is a band that continues to redefine the boundaries of contemporary music, and their journey is far from over.
