About the event

Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers are continuing their second annual Road to Roots tour, championing Roots Rock Revival, a camp established by Melody’s father, the legendary Allman Brothers drummer Butch Trucks. This show will feature Roots alum Ryan Gregg, Jaden Lehman, and Roots Rock Revival All Stars, making this a show not to be missed.
Melody, a skilled percussionist and vocalist, has graced the stages of major music festivals like The Peach Music Festival, Suwannee Rising, and Hulaween, carrying forward her family’s legacy in Southern rock and jam band music. With her captivating stage presence and expert percussion work, she’s garnered a dedicated following.
The Fitzkee Brothers Band, described as “The Allman Brothers meet The Foo Fighters” by their producer Jim Ebert at 38 North in Falls Church, VA, resonate with infectious melodies and high energy. The Fitzkee Brothers are thriving with their recent releases, boasting almost 6,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Their track “Give You All My Love,” released in October, has already amassed 81,000 streams, while “Lakesong” is catching up with 11,000 streams and is featured on Spotify’s Modern Jam Band Playlist. Regularly sharing the stage with industry greats like Paul Cullen (Bad Company), the Brothers have also performed alongside renowned musicians such as Post Malone, Jorma Kaukonen, Jack Casady, Oteil Burbridge, Robert Randolph, Jamie McLean, and many more, solidifying their status as formidable talents in the music scene. Their full band lineup includes Nick French on keys and Otto Grundman on lead guitar and vocals.
Together, they have played The Peach Festival twice and opened for Marcus King. Melody & The Fitzkee Brothers Band embody the true essence of jam band music, fostering a community-driven ethos by welcoming fellow musicians to join them on stage. Their journey is marked by collaboration and celebration, from electrifying sets at SXSW to sharing the spotlight with luminaries like George Porter Jr. and The Runnin’ Pardners. Their collaborations with Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and Luther Dickinson at the Allman Betts Family Revival After Party in Austin, Texas, and Charleston, SC, were standout moments. As Melody Trucks & The Fitzkee Brothers gear up to headline a festival in July alongside Ron Holloway and Melvin Seals, their momentum is unstoppable, promising yet another thrilling chapter in their musical odyssey.
