lowercase is currently a 6 piece soul-pop group based out of North Carolina. Looking to emulate the popular music of the 60’s and 70’s, they have over time grown an affinity for the catchy, minimally arranged funk and soul records which dominated that era; citing the live and session style of recording as one of their biggest inspirations both in the studio and on stage. With influences such as Donny Hathaway, Donald Fagen, and Don Rickles, the band defines themselves conceptually as a wedding band that writes its own songs, aiming to capture the fun and familiar energy of an event band but with their own original work. lowercase is currently in the process of self-producing their debut EP that they hope will be available around the holiday season.
