Jammin Java’s 20th Anniversary Outdoor Concert Series: Presented by WS Wealth Management with Generous Support from JangleBox and Urban Mattress

We return for our second year of outdoor concerts. This year we celebrate Jammin Java’s 20th anniversary with a jam-packed calendar. All outdoor shows are free, and donations-only shows. You can enjoy our thin-crust pizza, loaded fries, salads, drinks and cocktails in our outdoor seating and limited-capacity indoor seating. We’ll be serving food and drinks through the show!

Please wear a mask at all times to respect the distance to the people around you!

Limited capacity, first come first served, weather permitting.

Thanks for coming to the show and supporting live music! In order to support the business and the cause, we ask that you respect our Two Item Minimum Purchase policy for all guests seated at tables.

We appreciate your understanding as we make our way towards recovery!

My band “Justin Trawick and The Common Good” (www.justintrawick.com) is based in DC and tours around the Mid Atlantic.  The band consists of acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and upright bass and we perform original music as well as reimagined pop covers done in an americana/roots/bluegrass style.  We are often booked not only because of our music but because we’re fun and engaging with the audience, often being funny and lighthearted between songs.  Since 2017 the band has sold out Pearl Street Warehouse in DC five times (250 tickets) and plays regularly at the 930 Club, Kennedy Center, State Theater, Birchmere, Jammin Java, and IOTA.  We’re often playing on the road around the mid-Atlantic in clubs, festivals, weddings, and private and public events.  In January of 2018 we released our debut album and The Washington Post wrote a story about us.
Since Covid-19, I’ve been successfully live streaming with help from Lauren LeMunyan and Mike Scoglio.  Early on we decided to treat our live streaming more like a tv show than a concert which made us a ton of fans, going from 7k Facebook followers to 14k in just a few months.  “The Justin and Lauren Show” and “The Justin ans Mike Show” has been covered by CNN,  The Washington Post,  Washingtonian Magazine,  Al Jazeera, and Reuters.

Using our growing fanbase, we also created a socially distanced secret backyard concert series called “An Evening With Us” as well as a full band benefit series called “Common Good on the Block”.  The Washington Post wrote a feature story about our secret backyard concert series in September of 2020.

Lastly, I released a new song called “Back of the Line” on August 21st about what if feels like going through this time we’re all living through right now.  Parade Magazine premiered the song and American Songwriter and Americana Highways did great writeups on it.  We were even interviewed by Voice of America’s TV Show “Border Crossings”.
