About the event

Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir

Sideman turned songwriter Jon Tyler Wiley spent most of 2018 and 2019 recording his debut record, “The Longing,” performing all instruments himself. When the record was delayed by the 2020 pandemic and lockdown, his band, he instead began recording and releasing music with his band. After a year of recording and releasing singles, look for Jon Tyler Wiley & His Virginia Choir performing in a town near you. Wiley’s solo release, “The Longing” was finally released to critical acclaim in February of 2022.

Elevado is a singer-songwriter duo composed of duel baritones, Brad Rhodes (vocals, piano, guitar) and Brent Shuttleworth (vocals, guitar). Both were independent, national touring artists that combined forces in Northern Virginia at the head of the 2020 quarantine. Through a process of woodshedding, they found their purpose and sound by embracing the deeper truths surrounding the unparalleled state of the world.

Having connected while working at an orphanage in Port au Prince, Haiti, Elevado explores the range between their singer- songwriter influences and real, autobiographical stories that reflect the depth of their own life experience. Brad and Brent have discovered the uniqueness of their collaborative efforts along their path to help connect the world by small acts of kindness, promoting sustainable social equality and reflecting on the values that matter to them the most. Elevado’s inspiration is drawn from their favorite artists, writers and teachers expanding beyond the music industry: Eckhart Tolle, Brené Brown, Damien Rice, Jon Bellion, and many more. Their sound is grounded in dynamic and vulnerable lyrics brought to life by the colorful exploration of melody crafted within transcendent musical landscapes.
