Jason Masi

Jason Masi is an American/DC based singer-songwriter. He got his start with a Richmond based group, Jubeus, he started in college opening for acts like Blind Melon, Everclear, Donna The Buffalo, SOJA, Ryan Montbleau, and Oteil Burbridge and releasing two albums.
He stepped out on his own in 2010, trading in the band’s jam driven rock for a solo songwriter approach. He has since released four solo albums, “Balance & Pull”, 2010, “Life is Wonderful”, 2012, “Power of a Woman”, 2014, and “Capture the Heart” 2018. His transition has kept him busy performing over 200 events per year. As a solo artist he has shared the stage with artists like John Waite, Darryl Worley, Pat McGee Band and Ernie Halter.
Masi cites influences that range from soul artists like Marvin Gaye and Bill Withers folk and blues icons like Van Morrison Morrison and James Taylor as well as modern songwriters in the vein of Mat Kearney, Bob Schneider, Ben Harper, and Amos Lee. His songs are often reflective and thought provoking, yet maintain a free spirited and light hearted tone.
With 48 episodes to date, Masi’s songs are frequently featured on the television show The Young and the Restless on CBS. Masi is currently writing and releasing singles. His latest release, a collaboration with Austin Bello of Forever The Sickest Kids, “In Color”, is out now on all streaming platforms, along with recent releases, “New Sky” and “This Moment”.
