Gettin’ Weir’d

Gettin’ Weir’d is a 7 piece band celebrating the vast repertoire of the Grateful Dead’s “other guitarist”, Bob Weir- from his earliest work to most recent. Of course served up with a good helping of Grateful Dead songs too. Jane St. Clair

Jane St. Clair’s first CD, Stories, was recorded with Michael Manring and Alan Pasqua. She brought the songs up to speed in coffeehouses and clubs in West LA and Santa Monica with Nedra Wheeler and Danny Frankel, Paul Litteral and Ken Lasaine. She has an EP in the works, produced by Brian Mann, that features a ballad she co-wrote with Kenny Loggins and Maitland Ward.

Jane began writing and playing songs in Chapel Hill and the Outer Banks when she was a student at UNC. She studied for a year at the Berklee College of Music and then with Charlie Banacos in Boston. She began writing a musical at CalArts, where she earned her MFA. Since then, she’s collaborated on another musical and a play. Jane has published a profile with Fender and poetry and fiction in national literary journals. She has taught songwriting and creative writing, photography and Theatre in Los Angeles, at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, and Duke University.
