Good For The Jews
Good For The Jews
Good For the Jews is a clever, hilarious music duo from New York whose Christmas Eve shows at Jammin Java have become a grand tradition.

Rob Tannenbaum and David Fagin have been widely acclaimed for writing unorthodox songs about bar mitzvahs, Passover, Jewish girls, and relatives who live in Boca Raton. Their irreverent music has earned comparisons to Mel Brooks, Jon Stewart, Joey Ramone, Sarah Silverman, and Adam Sandler.

Their song “They Tried To Kill Us, We Survived, Let’s Eat” is heard at many Passover Seders, and NPR said it “ought to be a holiday staple.” The word “hilarious” often appears in articles written about them:

“Witty and delightfully unorthodox. A funny mixture of Jewish pride and cultural self-mockery.” –Washington Post

“If I were a rich man, I’d plunk down the cash to see this show.” –Ann Powers, New York Times

“A hilarious musical act. Don’t miss them.” –NPR

“It’s music meets standup comedy at its finest and despite the band’s name, it’s good for everyone. Good For the Jews have been called hilarious from coast to coast.” –Philadelphia Weekly

“Gut-busting tunes. You should be as funny as these Jewish guys.” –Cleveland Plain Dealer

“Very funny. A must-see show.” –Time Out New York

“Wickedly hilarious.” –Village Voice

“Gems like ‘They Tried To Kill Us, We Survived, Let’s Eat’ and ‘It’s Good To Be a Jew at Christmas’ have earned the outrageously funny New Yorkers an ever-expanding audience.” –Portland Tribune

“Expect to hear from the pair’s collection of naughty-but-nice Jewish-boy tunes. It’s not your dad’s Judaism. Somewhere, Debbie Friedman is blushing.” –Washington Post
