Elliott Yamin
Elliott Yamin
Elliott Yamin was born in Los Angeles and soon after, his family moved to Pasadena, CA where he first discovered his vocal talent while singing with his neighbors. Yamin later moved to Richmond, VA as a youth, and soon found employment singing cover material in a local jazz group and working as a DJ on a local R&B radio station. It was here that he auditioned for American Idol and won a spot in the show's competition during its 2006 season. Simon Cowell described him as "potentially the best male vocalist," while guest Stevie Wonder encouraged him to pursue music full-time.

Yamin launched his recording career with his highly anticipated 2007 debut album Elliott Yamin, which debuted at Number Three on the Billboard album chart and was the highest-debuting album by an independent artist in SoundScan history. The self-titled disc achieved gold status in the U.S. and Japan (where he continues to maintain a large audience), and yielded the hit "Wait for You."

In the wake of the first album's release, Yamin received considerable media exposure on countless television shows, while gaining extensive performing experience by touring around the world with his live band. In late 2007, he released the Christmas-themed Sounds of the Season: The Elliott Yamin Holiday Collection, which would be reissued in expanded form the following year as My Kind of Holiday. Yamin's second official album, Fight for Love, followed in 2009, spawning the successful singles "Fight for Love" and "Can't Keep on Loving You (From a Distance)."

Yamin's international touring activities have included several trips to far-flung locales on behalf of a variety of charities, relief groups and peace organizations. He's also worked tirelessly as an activist and spokesman for a number of organizations promoting awareness, advocacy and aid for those living with diabetes.

Yamin's close rapport with his fans has allowed him to road-test many of Let's Get to What's Real's songs. "I've been fortunate to get out there and play a lot of this material before the album was released," he reports, "Everywhere we've been so far, the fans have responded really positively. My fans tend to feel personally invested in what I'm doing, and it feels like they're with me on this part of the journey too.

Christina Holmes
Christina Holmes
In June 2013, Christina Holmes was presented with the opportunity to work with multi-platinum producer Narada Michael Walden after he heard some of her demos and was blown away by her raw talent. Walden has produced music royalty like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin, and worked with world-class musicians like Sting, Carlos Santana and Lenny Kravitz. He bonded not only with her talent, but also with the message her music represents. Soon after Christina flew to California to begin working with Narada at his legendary Tarpan Studios.

Christina was a little nervous heading in to the studio knowing how talented and successful Narada was, but he made her feel at home. Before the two started recording they both sat down and grooved together musically. With Narada on drums and Christina on vocals and guitar, they jammed together for hours. Everything was so effortless that they could tell right away they were meant to work together. Christina began to record with Narada throughout the summer of 2013 and into early 2014, and during that time she wrote and recorded 21 songs. In July of 2014, Narada offered Christina a record deal with his newly founded label, Tarpan Records. Christina was signed and is now preparing for the release of her debut album, Peace, Love, and C. Holmes.

As a child, Christina Holmes knew that she was meant to be a singer. From singing in the shower to her school chorus, music was an ever-present part of her life. She began playing guitar at the age of 8 and writing her own songs at 10, but it would always be in the quiet space of her own bedroom. She hadn't yet gained full confidence in herself, but she remained inspired by the fact that she loved to sing. Christina continued to write and sing throughout middle school and high school, but it wasn't until she attended the University of Rhode Island that she began to gain the self-confidence to play in front of others. People immediately took notice.

Christina's career began when she was sitting in her dorm room, playing the ukulele and singing a song she had just written. Her roommates walked in and couldn't believe they had never heard her sing. There was an Open Mic night on campus and they insisted she sign up and perform. Initially wary, Christina relented and that night she sang "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles and "I'm Yours'" by Jason Mraz. She was so nervous she thought she completely butchered both songs, but after her set, a man came up to her and told her that she had a gift, and that she needed to find it within herself to use it.

From that day on she played every chance she could get. She was still just as nervous, but she worked harder with each performance to improve her skills and her set. After a few years of playing everywhere from open mics, bars, and smaller local venues to busking on the street, she thought it was time to try something bigger. She came across an ad for auditions to be on "Amateur Night at the Apollo" and knew it was the perfect opportunity to finally show what she could do. She auditioned and on the spot was asked to play at their next show. On June 6th, 2012 Christina took the stage at the legendary Apollo Theater, and the audience response was overwhelming. Christina says "It was an absolute honor to be able to play on that stage, and I couldn't believe it when I received a standing ovation."

That day truly changed Christina's life and made her 100% confident in herself. She went on to book a small east coast tour, put out original music on YouTube, joined Musicians on Call and continued to plow forward doing what she loved. Christina Holmes now has a fan base that is growing every day, and has had the opportunity to play legendary venues such as Eddie's Attic in Atlanta, The Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago, and The Middle East in Boston.

Christina's new album is titled Peace, Love, and C. Holmes… because it's a little bit of peace, a little bit of love, and a whole lot of C. Holmes. She has always been passionate about music and enthusiastic about helping people, so why not put the two together? Her main goal has always been to spread her music to anyone who is willing to listen, with the hope of changing their day for the better.

Christina says "Music is healing in so many ways and I want to bring positivity to the world through my music. I have seen firsthand, while working with Musicians on Call, how powerful music can be for a person's life. People spend too much time focusing on the negative and the hatred in life, and I want to be able to shed some light in the world. My music is not only how I express how I feel, but it's also been my way of being able to bring out the best of the people who listen."
