The Later Late Show
For the last 6 years, the Later Late Show has been bringing you some of BEST local and nationally touring stand-up comedians and now they're backed up with a phenomenal house band, SMOOTH AF! These comics have appeared on national television (Comedy Central, Vice TV, BET, NBC's Last Comic Standing), performed in bars, clubs, theaters, comedy festivals, and kids birthdays all over the country, and now they're at Jammin' Java, just to make you laugh!
Danny Rathbun began his career as a zine writer; hitchhiking from one city to the next, giving readings at bookstores and anarchist communes all across the country, but after getting thrown out of every library in the country, he turned his brand of biting, intelligent humor to stand-up comedy. Drawing from his own life experiences, Danny covers everything from God to pregnancy scares, with energy and humor that leave audiences begging for more.
Jheisson (Jason) Nuñez is a comedian from the DC area of the District of Columbia of Washington, D.C. He's been doing comedy for over 4 years ranging from funny to hilarious. He runs DeathByLaughter Comedy at The Bathtub Republic. Follow him @JheissonNunez.
Joe Turner has lived in NOVA all his life. Performing comedy since the age of 17, this 17 year old has been on the comedy scene for a grand total of several months. Having performed on the Sonic Youth showcase at Black Cat and on the Later Late Show at Jammin' Java, critics have said that he's "trying his best". His parents are very proud(they still think he's going to be a lawyer), and his girlfriend doesn't exist. Once someone said he was funny, but he thinks it was sarcasm.
Natalie McGill is a DC-based stand up who has performed in the Bentzen Ball Comedy Festival and venues such as the Black Cat and State Theater. You can follow her on Twitter at @littlenightowl.
When Bryce isn't out hunting or voting Republican, he's in the local soup kitchens and supporting the troops. With a heart of gold and silver tongue, he took the stage in '94 and has been making people think and laugh, most importantly think. This guy is not someone to be missed and is always looking for new people to be in his online web series. So strap on your thinking caps and get ready to bust a gut.
Ben Daniels first did stand up in 6th grade at a Catholic school talent show, crushing with jokes about French cooking and Jell-O ™ pudding. Despite his groundbreaking debut, he finished 7th. Behind a group of 4th girls doing a choreographed dance of TLC’s “Waterfalls”. Heartbroken, he became a recluse on the comedy scene until 2011 when he decided to flip the script. Things have only gone up from there. Ben has performed all over the country, including Avalon Theater, Flappers Comedy Club Burbank, Atlas Theater, Cozzy’s Comedy Club, and Jammin’ Java. He’s had the privilege to share the stage with the likes of Erik Griffin, Owen Benjamin, Rob Cantrell, Creed Bratton, and Dave Coulier.
