Orla Gartland
Orla Gartland
Orla’s fusion of dreamy and lo1fi tinged indie1 pop, blended with her trademark summery vocals and heartfelt songwriting lends itself to the kind of crossover pop that appeals to a mass audience.!!Her online stats speak for themselves, with close to 11 million hits on Youtube, positioning her as a refreshingly credible One to Watch for 2015.

Her emotional delivery and genuine passion for songwriting have been embraced with Orla’s new 4 track EP which includes title track LONELY PEOPLE (produced by Andrew Maury; RAC, Panama Wedding). The end result being a raw and honest body of work, which shows wisdom beyond her years, full of energy and purpose.

With an impressive live plot to her name which includes support slots alongside Bastille, John Newman, Kodaline, Hudson Taylor and Gabrielle Aplin , Orla completed her first headline tour in the summer of 2013, selling out 5 dates across the UK. Early 2014 saw a 10 date tour for ROOTS, and a headline show in LA which sold out in 15 minutes of tickets going on sale.

The remainder of 2014 sees Orla complete her first US tour and SXSW debut, and an upcoming 10 date UK/Ireland tour culminating in London’s Islington Academy.

Clever and witty, melodic and musically quirky as ever, Olivia Millerschin is feeling a bit Over The Weather. these days, infusing her latest EP with all the colorful elements (pop, jazz, folk, soul) and wry turns of phrase that made her debut full length album Yes. No. Maybe So so popular and infectious – and led to its nomination for Outstanding Acoustic/Folk Recording at the 2014 Detroit Music Awards.

Only now, the multi-talented singer/songwriter is penning her confessional and observational gems from a fresh starting point: 18 years old, attending college and a year of touring under her belt. While the new project incorporates the same spirited instrumentation featured on her Yes.No.Maybe So album (including cajon, “Wurly,” organ, violin and her trademark, trusty ukulele), Olivia’s recent endeavors have inspired a more piano driven sound than on the previous album and Planted, her 2012 debut EP.

While one track on Over The Weather., the whimsically romantic “Left/Right” is helmed by the producers of Yes.No.Maybe So, Matt Heim and Bryan Reilly, The other four tracks including the EP’s first single, the mystical pop rocker “We Know Not,” are produced by Andrew Williams, who has worked with Colbie Caillat, Five For Fighting and indie pop/R&B singer Alexis Keegan.

At a time in life when most of her friends are engrossed in college, pledging sororities and fraternities and still trying to discover what they want in life, Olivia is fully engaged in her burgeoning, ever evolving career as an indie artist. In whirlwind mode since the release of Yes.No.Maybe So in March 2013, sheappeared on the Lansing station 89.7 FM (WLNZ) and hosted a launch party for the album that doubled as a benefit for Northpointe Academy with various musician friends, including Nick Urb (who duetted with Olivia on her song “Dearest”) Heim and Reilly.
