Ethan Schaefer
Ethan Schaefer
Ethan Schaefer is an acoustic singer-songwriter interested in telling a story. Whether the story pertains to his own life or not, he believes music has the ability to empathize in any situation. Ethan’s latest work, album Lost Lover Found, explores his journey with love thus far in the short 21 years he’s been alive. Ethan’s return to Jammin’ Java will be a night full of stories and new music.

Born in Northern Virginia, Ethan Schaefer began his career as a singer-songwriter at a young age. Son of musician, Robbie Schaefer (of the indie-folk band Eddie From Ohio), Ethan finds most of his musical influences come from his father. At the young age of 14, Ethan played his first professional show as an opening act at Jammin’ Java. The support from his hometown was nothing short of astonishing. He eventually landed at The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. He is currently there studying music and business as a part of their Bachelor of Innovation program

Currently, Ethan is working on refining his songwriting skills. In between albums, Ethan will be releasing a live studio album to Soundcloud. The album will consist of a range of covers Ethan has modified to make his own.
Craig Cardiff
Craig Cardiff
With a voice described as “warm, scratched, sad and sleepy,” Cardiff sings songs that
expose the human condition, putting a magnifying glass to the clumsier and less proud
moments. He can turn any setting into an intimate affair, infusing his music and lyrics with an uncompromising humanism.

Cardiff makes it a point to keep the relationship with his fans personal, inviting and
accepting any opportunity to make his audience as much a part of the performance as he is.

Armed with an extensive catalogue of songs (that have garnered over 75 million streams), sharp wit and soft voice, Cardiff is considered a pioneer in alternate venue touring, often appearing in churches, camps, prisons, basements, festivals, kitchens and even taking to the streets, bringing his fans with him. Over the years, he has played with and opened for artists such as Glen Phillips, Lucy Kaplansky, Dan Bern, Natalia Zukerman, Andy Stochansky, Sarah Harmer, Kathleen Edwards, Blue Rodeo, Gordon Downie (Tragically Hip), Hawksley Workman, Sarah Slean, Skydiggers, 54-40 and more.
Jessica Yellowitz
Jessica Yellowitz
Jessica fell in love with singing at an early age. The Fairfax, Virginia native began performing at the age of 6. She picked up a guitar at age 15, and has been writing songs ever since. When Jessica started high school, she began performing at venues throughout the D.C. area. As high school went on, her repertoire started to grow. By the time she graduated in 2016, Jessica had written over 40 songs and had four professionally recorded. Jessica's passion for singing, songwriting, and the recording industry led her to Middle Tennessee State University near Nashville, where she studies commercial songwriting in the well-known Recording Industry Management program. The songs she writes focus on youth, growing up, and family to create a universal theme in her songs. She hopes to spread love and happiness through her touching lyrics, graceful melodies, and sweet voice. When playing in the D.C. area, Jessica is often accompanied by her dad, Alan Yellowitz, a professional drummer/percussionist, who she credits with inspiring much of her musical passion. Many have said she sounds like an Alison Krauss/Jewel hybrid, though Jessica brings a unique style and sound that can be found nowhere else.
