Sunday Funny Sunday
From the producers of The Later Late Show, Sunday Funny Sunday is proud to bring you some of BEST local and nationally touring stand-up comedians. These comics have appeared on national television (Comedy Central, Vice TV, BET, NBC's Last Comic Standing), performed all over the country, and now they're at Jammin' Java- just to make you laugh! Backed by the always funky house band, SMOOTH AF, Sunday Funny Sunday is sure to end your weekend right and send you into the week with a smile on your face!
Rahmein Mostafavi charms crowds with comic timing and charisma developed during a decade of live performance. He addresses social and political topics with a combination of satirical and observational comedy, leaving audiences with a greater sense of purpose, sex appeal and the occasional leg cramp. Rahmein entered the stand-up world after working as a longtime cast member of “Shear Madness,” the acclaimed Kennedy Center improv/comedy whodunit. His natural joke writing ability, combined with his acting chops, has won him rave reviews in both the Washington area and around the country. He also produces events under the “Cool Cow Comedy” banner, bringing live comedy to venues in Maryland and Virgnia. Rahmein has shared the stage with some of the best comics in the nation, including Dave Attell, Jake Johannsen, Artie Lange, Bert Kreischer, Rich Vos, Jon Lovitz, Tim Meadows, Joe Matarese, Bob Marley, The Sklar Brothers, Jen Kirkman, Red Grant, Godfrey, Joe Torry, Kyle Kinane, Finesse Mitchell, and Maz Jobrani. He has been featured at the Laugh Your Asheville Off comedy festival, The Devil Cup, Red Clay, The Cleveland Comedy Festival, and the Cape May Comedy Festival. Rahmein has been seen on FOX, heard regularly on Sirius XM, was featured in “The Truth About Money” on PBS, and was honored to be a speaker at the world famous TEDx Talks.
Dominic Rivera is a former Air Force veteran bringing life stories about fatherhood and relationships to the stage. A unique blend of sarcasm mixed with truth his perspective is sure to bring laughter to whatever stage you catch him on.
Wendy Wroblewski is a stand-up comedian from Gaithersburg, Maryland. A regular at the DC Improv, she performs comedy all over the Washington, DC area. She was a guest on the Boston Comedy Festival, the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, the Underground Comedy Festival, and the DC stop of the Betches of Comedy tour. You may have heard her voice on Sirius XM as the live on-air host of Comedy Central Radio Live. She has opened for Adam Cayton-Holland, Gary Gulman, Ryan Hamilton, Brent Morin, and Beth Stelling.
Max Wolfson is a comedian based in Washington, DC by way of the wild mountains of southwestern Virginia. He first began performing in DC over 5 years ago, progressing from dive bars and open mics to shows all over DC and the East Coast, including the Drafthouse Comedy Theater, Unplanned Comedy Warehouse, The Creek & The Cave, and the DC Improv. Armed with a friendly but sarcastic style, Max attacks the nuances of everyday life with a keen wit and a lot of eye rolling. Max is also a member of the DC-based comedy group The Ex-Wives Club, co-hosts the What’s Weird and Just Asking The Question podcast, and can be found on Twitter being an extremely nice boy at @maximumwolfson
Noah Crowley is a seven year veteran of the local comedy scene having performed at shows throughout Virginia, Maryland, and DC, and has appeared on the Comedic Intent Podcast. Noah’s comedic stylings have been described as a mix of cleverly stupid and stupidly clever. It’s a good thing Jammin Java’s in-house biographer came up with this description and not Noah, otherwise Noah would hate himself forever for how pretentious and self-congratulatory he just sounded.
Matt Eisenberg is a Virginia based comic. He's been heard on 96.7's Comic's Corner, Upgraded/Downgrade with Marla and Deric, and through his neighbor's walls. His roly-poly body is unfortunate, but his mind is silly and enchanting.
