Reviews for Joe's new record:

More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows is a triumph of the spirit and one thrilling rock-and-roll record *** ½ - Philly Inquirer / Nick Cristiano

Grushecky delivers a career milestone, outdoing himself once again. Grade: A+ - That Devil Music / Rev Keith Gordan

Joe has just released a record that will be considered among his best. More Yesterdays Than Tomorrows is a “Steinbeckian” portrait of modern working class America. - Disciples of Sound / Ray Chelstowski

Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers show steely resolve as they have gone back to work to craft a late career masterpiece that is both molten and potent. - Sightsandsoundsofnote.com/ Rich Lynch

Joe Grushecky’s music has stood the test of time. For 30 years publications such as Billboard, Rolling Stone, Village Voice, No Depression, and countless others have hailed him as one of rock & roll’s most talented singer-songwriters.

In 1979 Rolling Stone magazine crowned his band’s, the Iron City Houserockers, first album Love’s So Tough the “debut record of the year.” Acclaimed rock writer Jimmy Guterman, named their second album, Have a Good Time (But Get Out Alive) as one of the 100 Best Rock & Roll Records of all time! Legendary guitarist and Rock Hall of Famer Steve Cropper produced Blood on the Bricks. Rock superstar and Hall of Famer, Bruce Springsteen, produced American Babylon in 1995 and continues to perform with the band and write with Joe including the Grammy winning Code of Silence.

We’re Not Dead Yet, Live in Pittsburgh, Joe’s 14th LP, carries on his tradition of delivering honest and passionate music. This is what Blurt Magazine has to say about the band’s live performances. “Grushecky and the Houserockers performed like they thought they were damn rock stars and, on that night, they were indeed the greatest rock 'n' roll outfit on the planet”

In a world where truth is rare and nothing seems genuine anymore, some things remains constant…there is still real music being made out there. And Joe Grushecky is still making it.
Jim Boggia
Jim Boggia
Bruce Off Broadway is Jim Boggia's loving tribute to the Bruce Springsteen songbook, performed on ukulele.

Jim Boggia has been winning over fans, critics, contemporaries and luminaries for over 20 years with his uncompromising devotion to emotionally direct songcraft. He has released three acclaimed studio albums, collaborated with a startling array of artists — including Joan Osborne, Aimee Mann, Juliana Hatfield, Mike Viola, Tracy Bonham, Bernadette Peters, and NRBQ’s Big Al Anderson — and frequent performances with preeminent Beatles tribute band, the Fab Faux, and 18-piece collective Mad Dogs & Dominos, bringing to stage the music of Delaney And Bonnie, Derek And The Dominos, Joe Cocker, solo George Harrison, Leon Russell and their creative roots

Along the way, he got a ukulele and he learned how to make it talk. And once he got it talking, he got to finding ingenious ways of using those four little strings to play some of the most complex rock arrangements with all the grace and power of the originals.

Inspired by the response Boggia has received from his ukulele version of "Thunder Road," he has crafted uke arrangements of other Springsteen classics to present in this unique night of music.
