Stealing Oceans
Stealing Oceans
It’s rapper and lyricist Brian Thompson’s love for words and melodies that steered him away from the
grip of a five-year struggle with drugs and alcohol. Now sharing his positivity as the frontman and leader
of Stealing Oceans, he has created a unique sound to help spread positivity and remain an encouraging
influence.

Fresh off signing a management deal with Starstruck Entertainment in Nashville, Stealing Oceans has
been honing their hip-hop sound, drawing influences from the likes of Macklemore, Gym Class Heroes,
Hoodie Allen and Jon Bellion. They have seen early signs of success with their debut single “Blueprint”
and EP Let The Kids Play earning attention from critics in Nashville and beyond. Indie music blog
Nashville Unsigned said of the EP, “Stealing Oceans is here to provide you with music of substance and
realness.”

The group’s energetic live show - which includes stagedives, crowd surfing and backflips - has not gone
unnoticed either, with the band being nominated for “Best Live Act” three years in a row at the
Nashville Industry Music Awards. The band tours heavily, with a European tour and a string of college
shows this summer and upcoming festival slots at KAABOO in San Diego and the Cayman Islands.

But the band’s vitality is not only for entertainment alone. Stealing Oceans hopes to encourage their
fans to be appreciative each day by fusing positivity and optimism into their sound and lyrics. They take
time out of their touring schedule to their story with others, hosting charity events and actively raising
awareness for suicide prevention and mental health. Stealing Oceans aim to use their platform to make
a difference in people’s lives. They strive to inspire others with their moto: “Stay Youthful, Be Grateful,
and Always Love.”
Mutual Groove (Wings of Apollo)
Mutual Groove (Wings of Apollo)
Mutual Groove is a drummer and bassist duo comprised of DMart (David Martin, drums) and PGravy (Pat Graves, bass). Their intent is to be a multi-faceted rhythm section by not only creating and recording their own music, but also being the rhythm section for anyone who needs an experienced drummer and bassist, whether on recording, or live on stage. With The Funk Brothers of Motown as their main inspiration, Mutual Groove aim to be the rhythm section you think of when drums and bass come to mind.

David and Pat started playing music together eight years ago as the rhythm section for the three-piece rock band, Wings of Apollo. From the beginning, they had a natural way of connecting through the art of playing music, and have since provided drums and bass for over seventy five musicians. Around Nashville, Martin and Graves are known for their high energy performances and ability to lock in as a single unit.

Mutual Groove believes that the power of music brings people together in a way that nothing else can. It grants the ability to create communities almost instantly, whether it be between the players themselves, or the people that are listening to them. They warmly embrace the gift of being able to create music, and only wish to share the experience with as many of you as possible.

Last Bison have stampeded down from the mountaintop and landed in the wild lands; they inhabit world rhythms, ambient oases and crystalline stone-cathedrals that echo out into the night. After 2014 sessions polishing their more pastoral arrangements into larger visions for the LP VA and EP Dorado, Last Bison have gone through a lineup change and pushed even further into a grander sonic landscape that they've felt their arrangements always deserved. The sound is not so much a departure from the previous vision of stark and lush chamber folk, but a broader stroke from the same intimate brush that originally drew fans to the music and members. Now, Last Bison are ready to express the passion they've poured into their project since inception in more fully formed maturity and share their hearts anew, for the first time, once again.
