Deca
Deca
Deca is a NY based rapper, producer, and visual artist. Blending extremely personal with urgent global themes, he has gained a reputation for vivid imagery, hypnagogic production, and an ability to navigate through mythic worlds to reveal an allegory of our fundamental struggles with human existence.

Originally from Denver, CO, Deca came up as part of LIFE Crew; a collective of rappers, graffiti writers and DJs that were seminal in helping to shape the local scene in Denver throughout the 2000's. He spent time in LA before settling in NYC where he released his first fully self produced album The Veil in 2011. The album was followed by The Ocean in 2013 which explored dreams and the strange worlds we visit every night when we close our eyes. He collaborated with artist and animator Steven Mertens and released two stop motion videos for the project, "Breadcrumbs" and "Gabriel Ratchet". Both received high praise from media outlets.

Last year, Deca released an instrumental record called Forest Agates, which was a "master class in production" according to Earmilk, who encouraged fans to "Listen to this album at dawn on the day you're supposed to take off to Mars". He took to stop motion himself with the video for his single "Waiting" working with flower petals as a medium to create beautiful, haunting patterns and shifting faces.

As a true student of his genre, Deca produces beautiful harmonies, melodies and grooves, over which his lyrics soar in a self-contained dreamscape. He delivers an autobiography hidden in carefully crafted similes and metaphors giving a glimpse into the mind of a true artist.
MJx
MJx
MJx is a hip-hop artist from the DC area focused on making music with a purpose. Growing up, MJx had a lot taken away from him - family members being arrested, living in government subsidized housing, sleeping on air mattresses every night, the list goes on. Through all these struggles, MJx found a passion for rapping, and was able to find therapy through sharing his, and his families' stories through songs like "Time Will Heal", which has over 600,000 streams and counting. However, as MJx today may better be known by his friends as a positive, motivated individual, he also has a repertoire of tracks that are strictly intended to flex, get hyped, and feel good. The most important element that ties the music together is MJx's faith - trusting in God every step of the way.
