Friday July 25 pop/rock $15 - Late show added! Two shows at 6pm and at 9pm!
After two years of college Dave Cook was feeling uninspired. He dropped the books and headed home to Fairfax, Virginia to form My Favorite Highway with his cousin, Will Cook, in January 2005. The band spent six months writing their first songs and went into the studio to record a three song EP with producer Paul Barber in the Summer of 2005. “We wrote a few songs and it just so happened that everyone seemed to love them. We didn't know what to expect, it was like a fortunate accident,” Dave says. With their unique, polished sound and their “boys next-door” image, My Favorite Highway quickly captured the heart of their local scene with designs to do the same throughout the rest of the country.
The band stepped back into studio in the Summer of 2006 to cut five new tracks with Barber. They released the five track EP, “Anywhere But Here”, in November 2006. The new EP was received extremely well, selling 3,000+ CDs, and 41,000+ digital singles in 2007. After a few line-up changes the band rounded out to a four-piece. The quartet - Cook, his cousin and bassist Will Cook, drummer Bobby Morgenthaler and guitarist Pat Jenkins - hit the road in May 2007 for their first East Coast tour. The band spent the Fall of 2007 writing for their full-length debut; and now, with a handful of great songs, they are eager to record their new record, hit the road and see what lies ahead.

Sunday July 27 folk/rock $15 - 8pm
Eric Weinberg sings the blues … and the reds and the greens and every other color of the rainbow. This versatile singer/songwriter has performed across the country and across the ocean. Every time he steps behind a microphone Eric Weinberg offers up music and lyrics that touch the mind and embed in the heart. Eric's new CD Get Back Up Again is an eclectic blend of adult-contemporary tunes with strong rock, blues, and country influences. It's part-autobiography, part absurdity. Songs like Sun's Gonna Shine and the title cut, Get back Up Again recall feelings of uncertainty and hope as Eric struggled to overcome a long and serious illness. Back Seat Becky introduces us to a woman with a gift for grins and sins. And the award-winning Military Road is a powerful, haunting story of loss.
Eric has won many prestigious song-writing awards. In addition he has composed and arranged soundtracks for documentaries, videos and children's programs. Eric also has written musical satire for National Public Radio's
Morning Edition.

Jim Farber of the New York Daily News wrote: "In the songs of Joe Firstman, sensitive young men prowl the hills of Los Angeles, searching for fame and beauty, only to find self-destructive behavior and egos gone wild… While Hollywood's peaks and pitfalls have been prominently charted by songwriters from Don Henley, Stevie Nicks and Jackson Browne to Warren Zevon, Firstman aims to reinvent the milieu for his own generation."

Wednesday July 30 rock $10 advance/ $12 at the door - 7pm
Taking their name from one the toughest roads that runs through their hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, Egypt Central was formed in 2001, by John T. Falls (vocals), Joey Chicago (bass), Blake Allison (drums), and Jeff James (guitar).
The band was signed to LAVA Records by Music industry vet Jason Flom and instantly the band went into the studio to record their first self-titled disc in 2006. produced and mixed by Josh Abraham (Velvet Revolver, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Linkin Park, etc.). What came out of that 3-month process was an insanely catchy, hard-driven disc that has turned rock fans' expectations upside down. Their sound encompasses edgy rock, thunderous metal, and tumbles into the realm of funk and arena rock.
